Welcome to Wasps Buzz Points

Buzz Points is Wasps’ rewards scheme exclusively available to Season Members. Similar to a supermarket loyalty scheme Members can collect points by buying tickets, items from our shop and by attending matches. These points can then be used towards Wasps tickets and merchandise, and to access exclusive Wasps raffles, auctions and competitions to win money can't buy prizes and experiences.

How do I register for the Buzz Points programme?

Entry into the Buzz Points scheme is automatic for Season Member and will be activated as soon as your Membership card is printed. Season Members who do not renew their Membership will lose access to the portal at the end of each season (30 June).

Who is eligible for Buzz Points?

The following groups are eligible to access the Buzz Points scheme:

Season Members who purchased*:

  • An Adult Season Membership
  • Senior Season Membership

Season Members who will NOT be eligible to join the Buzz Points programme are*:

  • An Under 10s Member
  • An Under 18 Member
  • Complimentary Member
  • Disabled Carer Member

Eligible Season Ticket Holders must be 18 years of age or older.

*To check which price class you are, simply look at your season card 

Why is access to the Buzz Points Scheme not available to children 18 years and under?

The Buzz Points Portal is largely driven by commercial practices – the purchase of tickets, merchandise, membership.

However, there will be plenty of opportunities for parents/family members to transact within the Buzz Points Portal and win competitions/raffles etc on behalf of a younger member of their family.

My friend is disabled and I accompany her as her Disabled Companion. Why am I not eligible for the Buzz Points Scheme?

As a general rule, only members who are over 16 years of age and have paid for their Season Membership are entitled to join the scheme. As a Disabled Companion, your ticket is offered on a complimentary basis, you will not be considered eligible. 

How do I check my Buzz Points balance?

The Buzz Points scheme is delivered within the online portal which can be accessed here – https://buzzpoints.wasps.co.uk/login. Simply enter your Member Number – as shown on your Season Member card – and the small number on the bottom right-hand of your Season Card to access your own page.

The portal will provide you with your current status and the number of points you have already have acquired. Remember, as an eligible Season Member, you will start the season with at least 500 Buzz Points. 

How do I earn Buzz Points?

How do I use my Buzz Points?

The Buzz Points scheme will be delivered through the online portal only in most instances. Here you will be able to spend your points on different vouchers across tickets, merchandise, hospitality and exclusive competitions and experiences. When you select a voucher this will emailed to you with instructions on how to use it. 

Using your Buzz Points on tickets

You will not be able to call/visit the Ticket Office to use your Buzz Points directly without redeeming them for a voucher first. When you select a voucher this will emailed to you with instructions on how to use it. Any extra tickets or upgrades may be subject to an additional fee. The Ticket Office only accept cash/card payments. 

Using your Buzz Points on merchandise

You will be able to use Buzz Points for online purchases on www.waspsshop.co.uk by redeeming your Buzz Points to secure a Promo Code for use on the Wasps Shop website. Alternatively you can select a voucher online and use it in the Wasps Shop in person.

I’ve logged in but nothing is showing for my account. What should I do?

Firstly, make sure that you are logging-in with the correct credentials. Buzz Points are driven by Season Memberships so make sure you are using the Member Number displayed on your Member Card.

I have a problem accessing my account. What can I do?

Firstly, make sure you are logged-in with the correct account credentials. These must include the Supporter Number and Card Serial Number displayed on your Member Card.

Some of my Buzz Points don’t appear to be showing. What should I do?

Buzz Points for merchandise purchases will not be credited to your account immediately. Please allow 5-7 working days for your updated points to show.

Buzz Points allocations for tickets will not be credited to your account until after the fixture has been played.

How many points do I get for renewing my Wasps Season Membership?

You will receive at 1,000 Buzz Points for renewing/buying in the Early Bird window and 500 points for renewing/buying a Season Membership after the Early Bird window. 

How many points do I need to enter a competition?

The number of points you will require will be dependent upon the competition and how you enter. For instance, you may need to spend fewer points to enter a raffle than you will to win an auction.

Can I use Buzz Points to bring my friend to the Clubhouse?

Clubhouse access will be available on a match-by-match basis using your Buzz Points to redeem against. A printable voucher will be emailed directly to you on selection of the voucher which you should bring with you in order to access The Clubhouse on matchday.

Can I spend/redeem my Buzz Points on a match day?

You will only be able to redeem Buzz Points via the Online Portal for tickets. On a match day, you can redeem Buzz Points but only in the form of a printed voucher which must be redeemed over the Club Store counter.

Can I spend or earn Buzz Points on food and drink purchases at Ricoh Arena?

Unfortunately, not. Buzz Points can only be earned or spent on designated Wasps products and services. However, we will continue to develop the Buzz Points programme to incorporate more products and services in future.

Can I spend my points at the DoubleTree by Hilton at the Ricoh Arena?

Unfortunately, not. Buzz Points can only spend on designated Wasps products and services. However, as a Season Member you can still earn Buzz Points by booking at the DoubleTree by Hilton at the Ricoh Arena which can be spent on designated Wasps’ products and services.

Can I spend my Buzz Points on car parking?

Unfortunately, not. Buzz Points can only be earned or spent on designated Wasps products and services. However, we will continue to develop the Buzz Points programme to incorporate more products and services in future.

I bought multiple Season Memberships will the owner of the other Memberships earn points too?

Yes, they will as long as they are 18 years old or older. Every member is unique and will receive points for every action and transaction that is attributable to them. Therefore, if a ticket or Season Member is assigned to an individual, Buzz Points will be allocated to them.

How many times can I enter an auction/competition?

Dependent upon the auction, competition or raffle prize, you may be limited to just 1 entry or multiple entries. This will be clearly designated as you apply.

Do I lose my points if I don’t win an auction?

No, you won’t. As with any auction, only the winning bidder will have points deducted from their balance.

Do I lose my points if I don’t win the raffle?

Yes, you will. As with any raffle or competition that you may pay to enter, any Buzz Points spent will be non-refundable.

If I purchase England tickets through the ballot will this spend earn me Buzz points?

Only tickets purchased for Wasps fixtures and through Wasps directly are eligible for Buzz Points.

I still have unused points left at the end of the season. What happens?

Points will roll-over for anyone who renews their Season Membership for the following season, so you won’t lose them. However, if you do not renew, you will only have these points available to use until 30 June.

I purchased tickets for a Wasps away match through the host away club. Can I earn points for this?

Only tickets purchased through Wasps directly are eligible for Buzz Points.

I won a competition/auction but did not use my prize. Can I claim my Buzz Points back?

Unfortunately, not. Any Buzz Points spent will remain spent.

I used Buzz Points against match tickets/Clubhouse entry but did not use them. Can I claim my Buzz Points back?

Unfortunately, not. Any Buzz Points spent will remain spent.

I bought merchandise before receiving my Season Member card. Will I be given Buzz Points for this?

No Buzz Points will only be earned on purchases once your Season Member card has been printed, but you will earn Buzz Points against future purchases.

How long will I keep my Buzz Points for?

As long as you continue to hold a valid Season Membership, your Buzz Points will continue to roll-over for a period of one season before any points are lost. For example, any unused points accrued during the 2018/19 season will expire on 1 July 2020.

I am not a Season Member but would like to take advantage of this option. Is there a “paid for” option so that I can use the Buzz Points Portal

Buzz Points is currently only available for Season Members but we are continually developing the Buzz Points programme so look out for any updates.

BUZZ POINTS - TERMS & CONDITIONS*

BUZZ POINTS SCHEME APPLIES TO SUPPORTERS WHO HOLD A CURRENT SEASON MEMBERSHIP (formally Season Ticket)

  • In purchasing Season Membership, you are deemed to have accepted and agree to the Terms and Conditions of use subject to the Club’s ground regulations
  • Use of a membership card to gain entry into the stadium is subject to the Club’s ground regulations, which are displayed at turnstiles or can be viewed online at wasps.co.uk
  • By using a membership card to enter the stadium you are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by the Club’s ground regulations.
  • By accessing the Buzz Points Portal, you are deemed to have accepted and agree to be bound by the Overall Terms and Conditions of use.

Definitions and Interpretation

In these Membership T&Cs, the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings (unless stated otherwise):

“Wasps”

The rugby club which a member is a paid member of

“Buzz Points”

Points earned by Season Members and awarded by the Club in accordance with the the Season Membership scheme which may be redeemed against Wasps products and services

“Buzz Points Portal”

Means a dedicated members-only page available to Season Members

“Club”

Wasps Holdings Limited

“Conditions of Entry”

Means the rules and regulations of each of RFU, EPRC, PRL and the Ground Regulations

“Cup Competition”

Each of the Premiership Rugby Cup, European Champions Cup or European Challenge Cup competitions the Club may compete in

“Cup Match”

Any match in a Cup Competition in which the Team participates during the Season

“Ground”

The Ricoh Arena, Phoenix Way, Foleshill, Coventry, CV6 6GE (or such other ground to which the Club relocates on a temporary or permanent basis to the extent that the Ricoh Arena is unavailable for use by the Club)

“Ground Regulations”

The ground regulations issued by the Club from time to time that set out the terms and conditions upon which spectators are granted entry to the Ground, a copy of which is available on the Website.

“Home Match”

Means a match played at the Ground

“Match”

Any Premiership or Cup Match or friendly match played by the Team

“Member”

Each person who is registered as an official member of the Wasps Season Members Scheme

“Member Card”

The electronic card (and any replacement thereof) issued to each Member by the Club which, amongst other things, admits the Member into the Ground at Matches which that Member is entitled to attend

“Membership Benefits”

In respect of each Membership Scheme, the benefits to which a Member of that Membership Scheme is entitled the Membership T&Cs

“Membership Incentives”

In respect of each Membership Scheme, the incentives to which a Member of that Membership Scheme is entitled based on date of purchase, as set out in the Membership T&Cs

“Membership Scheme”

The membership schemes as further described in the Membership T&Cs

“Premiership Match”

Any match played by the Team in Premiership Rugby during a Season

“Purchaser”

A person purchasing any number of Membership Schemes

“Renewal Date”

The date on which a Member’s Membership shall renew

“Season”

Means the English rugby season (which usually runs from July to June)

“Season Member”

Means a holder of a Season Member card

“Season Card T&Cs”

Means the standard terms and conditions applicable to purchasers and holders of a Season Card

“Team”

The Club‟s first team squad

“Website”

The Club‟s website www.wasps.co.uk

“Year”

Each 12 month period of a Membership

 

Overall Terms & Conditions

  1. Buzz Points Loyalty Programme is valid for persons aged 18 or over only.
  2. Season Members who are below the age of 18 and those who have been issued a Season Membership on a complimentary basis (which includes Disabled Companions) are ineligible to participate in the Buzz Points Loyalty Programme.
  3. Eligible Season Members are automatically enrolled but must activate their own account by visiting buzzpoints.wasps.co.uk.
  4. Season Membership expires on 30 June each year regardless of the date of joining and accrued Buzz Points will continue to be rolled-over for the following season so long as Season Membership is renewed and will remain as part of your balance for a one season period before unused points will be removed. For example, any points accrued during the 2018/19 season but unused will expire on 1 July 2020.
  5. Wasps reserves the right to withdraw points promotions/offers without notice.
  6. Membership is non-transferable and can only be used by the named individual as shown on the front of the card.
  7. If a membership is cancelled, subject to their statutory rights, their membership fee will not be refunded. All unused Buzz Points on the account will be immediately invalidated.
  8. The Club is not liable, at any point, for any Buzz Points which are fraudulently redeemed should an account be misused or Membership Card is lost/stolen and not reported to the Club.
  9. The Club reserves the right to run Membership joining incentive schemes from time to time without liability to existing members.
  10. The Club reserves the right to change or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time on giving the members 30 days’ prior written notice using the contact details supplied by each Member.
  11. The Club reserves the right to change the offering, products and services available within the Buzz Points Loyalty Programme and reserves the right to amend how points are issued, how many points are issued and how they may be redeemed.
  12. The Club reserves the right to rebrand or otherwise vary any of the Membership Schemes, or introduce any additional Membership Schemes, at any time provided that any such variation shall result in a Member receiving the same or substantially similar benefits to those the Member was entitled to receive prior to such variation. Members may, at the sole discretion of the Club, be transferred to such additional or replacement Membership Schemes without prior notice provided always that the Member shall be entitled to the same or substantially similar benefits under the new Membership Scheme as the Member was under the Membership Scheme from which the Member was transferred.
  13. Cash alternatives will not be offered where Wasp Buzz Points remain on a member account.
  14. Cash alternatives will not be offered where a product/service has been redeemed or won within the Buzz Points Loyalty Programme.
  15. Redemption of Buzz Points against retail products can be done by “purchasing” a voucher which can be used online at waspsshop.co.uk or by printing a voucher and presenting it to the Wasps Shop.
  16. Redemption of Buzz Points against tickets can be done by “purchasing” a voucher within the Buzz Points Portal. Should a specific seat be required, this can be exchanged by contacting the Ticket Office, although this may be subject to an upgrade fee.
  17. Refunds – by way of cash or Buzz Points - will not be credited back where a product/service has been redeemed or won within the Buzz Points Loyalty Programme and which have remained unused.
  18. Refunds – by way of cash or Buzz Points - will not be credited back where a product/service has been bid for/entered in competition within the Buzz Points Loyalty Programme.
  19. Buzz Points will held ‘on account’ until such time as the member wishes to redeem against products/service or which point that their membership is terminated or expires.
  20. Buzz Points earned through ticket purchases can only be spent on home ticket purchases and will only become valid once the match that has accrued the Buzz Points has been played.
  21. Buzz Points earned through merchandise purchases will only become valid 5-7 working days after being purchased.
  22. Should an item be returned/refunded, Buzz Points for that item will be immediately deducted from the Member’s balance.
  23. Buzz Points can be used in full as either part payment or full payment for home match tickets and merchandise. Should an item cost more than the value of the Buzz Points item, cash or credit/debit card payment will be required for the remaining balance.
  24. Purchases of match tickets are non-refundable.
  25. Any ticket amount of a ticket paid for using Buzz Points will not earn further Buzz Points.
  26. Complimentary tickets and Under 10 (Free) tickets are not eligible to earn Buzz Points.
  27. The Club may suspend a Member's access to the Member Portal and the Membership Scheme at any time at its sole discretion. If the Club does choose to suspend a Member's access it will inform the Member within a reasonable time, however the Club is under no obligation to inform the Member of the reasons for the suspension or when the suspension may end.
  28. The Club can terminate your participation in the Membership Scheme immediately on written notice if: (a) the Member breaches these Membership T&Cs or any Associated T&Cs; (b) the Member acts or is reasonably suspected of acting in any manner which is inconsistent with or violates these Membership T&Cs or any element of the Membership Scheme; (c) the Member acts, in the Club's opinion, in a manner inconsistent with the applicable laws, statutes or ordinances or if there are reasonable grounds for suspecting fraud, theft, or dishonesty in connection with the Membership Scheme; (d) the Member is guilty (or the Club suspects the Member is guilty) of a sports-related criminal offence; (e) the Club reasonably believes an unauthorised person is accessing the Membership Scheme using a Member's account; (f) Club reasonably believe providing with Buzz Points will cause the Club to break a law, regulation or code; or (g) the Club reasonably believes it is necessary to do so for operational reasons.
  29. The Club may terminate the Membership Scheme on giving the Member 30 days' notice by email.
  30. In the event that a Membership Card is withdrawn or a Membership Scheme cancelled, the Club reserves the right to exclude the relevant Member from applying for any future Membership Scheme maintained or organised by the Club and or to disqualify the relevant Member from applying for any match ticket at its discretion and to notify The RFU, PRL, EPRC, and/or any other clubs of such exclusion and/or disqualification (and the reason(s) for such exclusion and/or disqualification).
  31. All Buzz Points acquired by a Member may be revoked if that Member’s Membership Scheme is cancelled, suspended or withdrawn in accordance with these Membership T&Cs, or if the Member is refused admission or banned from the Ground or any other sporting venue anywhere in the world.
  32. The Club will not be liable to any Member for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arising under or in connection with: (a) any failure or delay by the Club in carrying out any of its obligations under these Membership T&Cs which is caused by circumstances outside of the Club’s reasonable control; (b) the Membership Scheme and the Buzz Points; (c) any information provided to the Club by a third party; (d) the Member Portal, including its availability and use of or reliance on any content displayed on the Member Portal; and (e) any act or omission of a third party providing the Buzz Points Rewards.
  33. The Club shall have no liability whatsoever for any indirect or consequential loss or damage, loss of enjoyment or travel/accommodation costs.
  34. To the extent permitted by law, the Club excludes all conditions, warranties, representations or other terms which may apply to the Membership Scheme, whether express or implied.
  35. The Club's total liability to each Member in respect of any loss or damage a Member suffers as a foreseeable result of a breach of these Membership T&Cs in respect of the Buzz Points is to credit any Buzz Points to the Member's account which have been wrongly deducted or should have been credited but were not.
  36. The Club assumes no responsibility for the services provided by any third party in connection with the Buzz Points Rewards, including but not limited to the delivery, standard, quality or otherwise of any Buzz Points Rewards provided by third parties or the failure of such a third party to honour the redemption of the Buzz Points or make a specific Buzz Points Reward available. Any issues relating to the purchase, delivery and return of Buzz Points Rewards should be addressed to the third party.
