Wasps’ 2017/18 Players’ Player of the Season joined the Club from London Irish in 2016.

Since then he has taken every opportunity presented with both hands and established himself as a key member of Dai Young’s squad.

In addition to being a reliable set-piece operator, former flanker Cruse underlined his reputation as one of the most mobile front-rowers in the Premiership by claiming eight tries in his first 35 appearances.

The hooker made an impressive 28 appearances in the 2018/19 season which took him past the 50-game mark for the Black and Golds. 

Cruse began his career with his local club Stockport where he won county honours with Cheshire prior to spells in Sale Sharks Academy and with National Two North side Macclesfield.

This brought him to the attention of Wasps’ Attack & Backs Coach Lee Blackett, then at the helm of Championship outfit Rotherham Titans, and launched a prolific two-season spell during which Cruse claimed numerous man-of-the-match awards and was named in the Championship Dream Team.
