Talented young Italy international Matteo Minozzi joined Wasps from Zebre Rugby in 2019.

Minozzi made his international debut in November 2017 before bursting onto the Six Nations scene in 2018, where he scored tries in four successive games against Ireland, France, Wales and Scotland.

The Italian’s stellar performances in his debut Six Nations campaign saw him named in the Team of the Tournament while he was also shortlisted for the Player of the Tournament award.

With nine tries in 16 Test caps to date (5/11/19), the versatile back, who can play at wing or full-back, scored a hat-trick for Italy in their 2019 Rugby World Cup warm-up v Russia and crossed for a try in their opening tournament matches v Namibia and Canada.
