Who could Wasps face in European Challenge Cup?

Date: 30 May 2019

Wasps are set for a season in the European Challenge Cup in 2019/20 - and there are a whole host of quality teams set to take part in next season’s tournament…

On Wednesday 19 June, it’ll be confirmed which three teams Wasps will be facing off with in their pool – and there could be some very tasty trips in store.

French giants Toulon and Stade Francais are two household names set to be in the competition next season, along with Castres, Bordeaux-Begles, Pau and Agen.

Meanwhile, Bayonne will also be back in the competition, having been promoted from PRO D2 after a last kick of the game helped them defeat Brive – who will now have a play-off with Grenoble to see which team will be competing in the Top 14 and European Challenge Cup next season.

From the Pro 14, Welsh regions Cardiff Blues, Scarlets and Dragons will be potential opponents for Wasps, along with Scottish outfit Edinburgh Rugby and Italian side Zebre.

There could also be a trip to Russia to battle Enisei-STM while a second Italian team in Calvisano are also set to be in the 2019/20 Challenge Cup.

So who would you like to see Wasps up against next season? Where would you like to go on a European away day?!
