Following the Prime Minister’s statement yesterday, we are delighted by the news that fans will be allowed back into stadiums at the end of lockdown on 2nd December.
An announcement is due on Thursday outlining a new system of regional tiers, with tighter restrictions in the areas with the highest infection rates. Although we are still awaiting full details, it has been confirmed that stadiums in tier 1 will be permitted to hold up to 4,000 spectators, those in tier 2 can welcome up to 2,000 fans and grounds in tier 3 must continue to play behind closed doors.
This is a hugely positive step forward and we are now working on plans, within the timeframes available, so that we can welcome fans back to Ricoh Arena as soon as it is safe and secure to do so.
We will be liaising with the relevant local authorities and await the announcement on the local restriction levels.
The club would like to thank supporters for their patience and understanding at this time. We will release further information regarding tiers, ticketing and match details as soon as they are available.
