Date: 13 Jul 2021

Wasps will kick off their 2021/22 Gallagher Premiership campaign this September by hosting Bristol Bears at Coventry Building Society Arena on Saturday 25 September (kick-off 3pm).

  • Wasps kick-off 2021/22 Gallagher Premiership campaign at home to Bristol Bears
  • An away encounter against Newcastle Falcons follows on Saturday 2 October
  • Wasps host London Irish at Coventry Building Society Arena on Boxing Day and travel to AJ Bell Stadium to play Sale Sharks on New Year’s Day
  • Wasps final regular season Gallagher Premiership game will be away to Leicester Tigers

Wasps will take on Bristol Bears at Coventry Building Society Arena (Saturday 25 September; kick-off 3pm) as they embark on their first season at their newly renamed home, with European Champions Cup and Premiership Cup rugby to look forward to as well.

There are 13 teams competing in the Gallagher Premiership in 2021/22, meaning that each team gets two bye weeks. Wasps’ first bye week falls in the opening round of games, meaning the Black and Golds must wait till round two to kick off their campaign.

There is a seven-game block of Premiership fixtures to kick off the new campaign, before attentions turn to the European Rugby Champions Cup.

Wasps’ first away day will follow the Bristol game at Newcastle Falcons, before Wasps host Northampton Saints and Exeter Chiefs in back-to-back games at Coventry Building Society Arena in October.

Away games at newly promoted Saracens and Bath Rugby follow, before the first seven-game block is completed with a home tie against current champions Harlequins.

European matches will then sandwich a further two Premiership games against Gloucester Rugby at home and a trip to local-rivals Worcester Warriors.

The Christmas period sees Wasps welcome London Irish to Coventry Building Society Arena on Boxing Day, followed by a trip to Sale Sharks on New Year’s Day.

Wasps face the same opponents Sale in the final home game of the season on Saturday 21 May before travelling to rivals Leicester Tigers on the last day of the regular season on Saturday 4 June.

TV broadcast selections have been made for the first seven rounds of Gallagher Premiership matches. Fixture dates and kick-off times for further rounds are pending live TV broadcast picks.

With Wasps getting a bye week in round one of the Premiership, the Club have decided to move our pre-season friendly against Dragons from Friday 10 September to Sunday 12 September (kick-off 2pm).

Lee Blackett’s team will start the campaign by facing Coventry Rugby in a friendly at the Butts Park Arena on Saturday 4 September at 3pm.

The European draw is on Wednesday 21 July and Premiership Rugby Cup fixtures for the 2021/22 season will be confirmed in August.
