Tom West - Extends Contract

Date: 14 May 2020

“I’ve been involved with Wasps for eight years from Academy level so it’s a club that’s obviously very close to my heart.” Tom West

Loosehead prop Tom joined the Wasps Junior Academy while still at Radley College. During his time in the Senior Academy, he cut his teeth with Henley Hawks, in National League One, and with Championship side Nottingham.

Was part of the England U20 side which won the Junior World Cup in 2016 and made his Wasps debut later that year, in an Anglo-Welsh Cup game at Sale. Came off the bench to make his Premiership debut at home to Saracens in January 2018.

So far this season he has played twelve times, including his European debut, away to Edinburgh. That brings his total number of first team appearances to twenty-four.

“Westy is someone we’ve worked with closely from a very young age and we’re really pleased he’s decided that his future is here at Wasps. It was really pleasing to see his performances recently in a Wasps jersey backing up the years of hard work.” Lee Blackett
