Wasps are delighted to announce that Tom Cruse has committed his future to the club.
Cruse is approaching 100 games in the Black and Gold, as he sits on 94 appearances for Wasps.
The 31-year-old is Wasps’ second-highest try-scorer so far this season, with five tries in eleven games.
The mobile hooker was Wasps’ 2017/18 Players’ Player of the Season, having joined the club from London Irish in 2016.
With Cruse following Josh Bassett in signing on for more with Wasps, fans can rest easy about the future of the Any Sting Goes podcast. Cruse and Bassett founded Wasps’ official podcast in July 2019, to provide a light-hearted look into day-to-day life behind the scenes at the club.
Wasps Head Coach Lee Blackett said: “We are extremely happy that Tom has agreed a new contract with us.
“Crusey is a very important member of our squad. Off the field he is one of the most positive people you will find and has a massive influence on our squad. On the field I feel he’s been one of our top performers since the start of the season.
“We are all looking forward to hopefully seeing a little more of his try celebration for years to come.”
Cruse added: “I am delighted and proud to be extending my stay with the club.
“It is the people that make a club and Wasps has always been about the people. This is an exciting time to be at Wasps with the current group of players and staff.
“We are working hard to progress and build on the last couple of years. I can’t wait to have the fans back at the Ricoh with us.”
