Successful partnership helps boost community engagement

A leading Midlands law firm’s partnership with Wasps has helped boost community engagement in the year since they joined forces.

Wright Hassall and Wasps embarked on a five-year agreement in 2018 with the firm undertaking the majority of the Club’s legal work across a wide range of Wasps activities, while its name featured on the Club’s first-team shirt.

The two have worked together on numerous events such as the Wright Hassall Regency 10k run in Leamington, with the Midlands law firm also hosting business networking events at Ricoh Arena over the last 12 months.

Staff across the two organisations have also got to know more about each other over this period through a range of social activities.

Phil Wilding, a partner at Wright Hassall who led the successful bid for the firm to represent Wasps, said: “The first year of the relationship has gone really well and we think both parties have gained a great deal from it.

“We are proud to have built a strong foundation for our future with Wasps over the last 12 months, with both sides actively engaging in building this relationship on a professional and personal level.

“It has been an exciting period for us as a firm and our work with the Club has played a key role in that.

“We take a proactive approach towards our commitment to the region and are proud to have teamed up with Wasps as an example of our support for business and sport in Coventry and Warwickshire.”

Wasps’ stars, including James Gaskell and Josh Bassett, have visited the Wright Hassall offices throughout the year to offer advice on healthy living and diet considerations, as well as leading High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) sessions.

The rugby club also entered a team of staff into this year’s annual Wright Hassall quiz, which raised thousands of pounds for the Wright Hassall Charitable Trust, which supports a variety of local charities.
