Quilter International Ticket Ballot 2018
Date: 31 Jul 2018
England will play four consecutive Tests against Southern Hemisphere opponents in 2018 at Twickenham Stadium against South Africa, New Zealand, Japan and Australia with all four matches broadcast live on Sky Sports HD.
Eligible members are invited to apply for tickets for the above series of matches at Twickenham during November 2018. Eligible members are those persons who have purchased a full adult season ticket for 2018 / 2019. Holders of shorter period tickets are not eligible to apply.
Closing date for applications is 31 August 2018. Please be aware 31 August means 31 August; given the strict nature of RFU payment timetable, applications received on 01st September or later will be returned unprocessed. There will be no exceptions.
Cheques should be made payable to ‘Wasps Football Club’. The prices shown on the application form include a nominal booking fee per ticket to defray costs of printing, postage etc. Completed application forms should be sent by post, along with payment, to Andrew Richmond.
Ticket availability is dictated by the balance between allocation of tickets from the RFU and demand for tickets from membership. Prudence suggests it is appropriate to restrict application requests for England v New Zealand to two tickets; no such restriction has currently been placed on the other matches, although it may prove necessary to re-visit this issue when all numbers are finalised. Should ticket requests from members greatly exceed availability, a ballot will be conducted.
Ticket usage – The RFU has issued a lengthy document to all Clubs regarding the proper use of international tickets, the black market and the imposition of sanctions should any ticket allocated to the Club fall into the hands of speculators. The Club fully endorses the RFU approach and the following represents an extract from the terms and conditions imposed by RFU –
1. tickets allocated are for personal use only – to include family and friends
2. tickets provided must not be sold or advertised for sale by any mechanism
3. tickets should be not posted on any social media sites
4. if you are unable to use the tickets allocated, they must be returned to the Club.
Despatch of tickets will take place as soon as possible following receipt of tickets from the RFU; this normally occurs 2-3 weeks prior to the match. All applicants will receive a letter providing allocation details, with tickets if successful, in the run-up to the matches.
