Tickets for our Midlands Derby match against rivals Leicester Tigers on Sunday 9 January are now on sale.
As two of English rugby’s biggest clubs, Wasps and Leicester Tigers have regularly met each other in huge fixtures and finals throughout the two clubs' histories.
The rivalry between the two got all the more intense when Wasps moved up to play in the Midlands and it became a local derby.
Wasps have had an impressive record at home against Leicester since the Club’s move to the Coventry Building Society Arena in 2014, losing only twice to the Tigers in Coventry.
That run of victories for the Black and Golds included a memorable 21-20 semi-final win in 2017, thanks to a 78th minute winning try from winger Josh Bassett.
However, Tigers managed to claim a victory in their last visit to Coventry in an entertaining 38-31 contest on the final day of last season, something that Wasps will be looking to right when the East Midland’s side visits this time round.
That day was emotionally charged as it marked the first time that supporters could return to the Coventry Building Society Arena since the COVID-19 pandemic.
This season’s fixture promises to be no less intense, as Leicester Tigers currently sit unbeaten at the top of the Gallagher Premiership table.
Wasps should also be welcoming big names such as captain Joe Launchbury and internationals Jack Willis, Dan Robson and Malakai Fekitoa back into the team at the start of the new year.
It will be a crucial round thirteen clash for both sides as the Premiership season reaches the halfway mark.
Fans can be at this season’s historic rivalry fixture at the Coventry Building Society Arena from just £21 for adults and £5 for those 11 & under.
