Michele Campagnaro in Italy side to play Scotland

Date: 31 Jan 2019

Conor O'Shea has picked Wasps' Michele Campagnaro in the Italy team to face Scotland at BT Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on Saturday 2 February.

Campagnaro starts on the left wing in the opening weekend of the Guinness Six Nations 2019.

The match sees the return of the Azzurri captain Sergio Parisse to the starting line up, having been on the sidelines in November for injury. Parisse returns for his hundred and thirty-fifth cap for Italy and his sixty-sixth appearance of the Six Nations, a record for the tournament.

Vice-captain Leonardo Ghiraldini will also celebrate his hundredth international cap, becoming the eighth Italian reach a century of apperances.

David Sisi, the 25 year-old second row from Zebre Rugby Club, makes his debut.
