On Thursday, March 22nd, the Ricoh office in Broadgate hosted Wasps’ Marcus Watson along with a number of other Premiership Rugby players and Directors of Rugby for a fun evening talking ‘all things Premiership Rugby’.
The event was organised as part of ‘The Business of Rugby’ campaign. Developed by Ricoh in association with Premiership Rugby and Wasps, the activation aims to take fans on a fascinating journey deeper into the inner workings of their favourite Premiership Rugby clubs.
Throughout the season Ricoh have developed a series of videos and business blogs identifying some of the latest business thinking, innovations and technology that is driving the clubs’ success. From developing their grounds to sourcing the best coaching teams and setting up academies to produce the best players, Premiership Rugby provides great inspiration and learning for business generally – and the aim of the event was to bring this message to life for Ricoh customers and partners.
Hosted by the Rugby World Cup winner and Ricoh ambassador Ben Kay, the evening consisted of three discussion panels focusing on ‘People’, ‘Process’ and ‘Technology’. The panels included Ben’s fellow Ricoh ambassador Maro Itoje (England and Saracens), Marcus Watson (Wasps and a silver medallist from the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio), Mike Brown (England and Harlequins), John Kingston (Director of Rugby at Harlequins) and Premiership Rugby’s CEO Mark McCafferty. Following the discussion, Ricoh’s guests had the chance to ask the panellists their own questions before their chance to take photos with the players and the official Aviva Premiership Rugby trophy.
