We are delighted to announce that Immanuel Feyi-Waboso will link up with Wasps Senior Academy from United Rugby Championship side Cardiff Rugby ahead of the 2022-23 season.

The 18-year-old made his first team debut for Cardiff against Ospreys in April last year.

The winger or Centre will be a valued member of the Wasps Senior Academy squad for next season.

Born to Nigerian parents, Feyi-Waboso grew up as one of six siblings in Llandaff and kicked off his club rugby journey with Rumney RFC.

The former Clifton College pupil was also heavily into athletics while growing up, participating in a number of events, but specialising in hurdles and high jump.

Off the field, Feyi-Waboso is a keen academic, studying medicine at Aston University.

Wasps Head of Academy and Recruitment Kevin Harman said: “We are extremely pleased to have signed Immanuel on a long-term contract.

“He is an exceptional athlete, with lots of potential, which we are all hoping will turn into first team performances in the not-so-distant future.”

Feyi-Waboso added: “I’m really glad to have signed a contract with Wasps.

“The coaching staff and players are world class and I hope they can elevate me to their level.

“I have loved being around their quality facilities and I am excited to be a part of the elite setup.

“I can’t wait to see what the future holds in Black and Gold.”
