What is Premiership Rugby Champions?
Premiership Rugby Champions is an interactive cross curriculum-based digital app, developed with expert learning technology company, Aspire 2Be. With additional support from both the CVC Foundation and BT Supporters Club, the app is aimed at primary school teachers, featuring video content from Wasps players to bring rugby into the classroom and use the sport to inspire primary school children across multiple subjects whilst developing their digital literacy and important life skills.
Premiership Rugby Champions will provide FREE interactive themed project-based lesson plans for use in the classroom and outside. With digital literacy at the heart of all content, the first resources will tackle health, with modules on tackling numeracy and character to follow as the term progresses.
“We know first-hand the power of rugby to inspire young people and the Premiership Rugby Champions app represents a great way to use this in the classroom. We have a great network of local primary schools in our community and we’re looking forward to communicating this to them. We know our players can act as powerful role models to young people and it’s great that teachers are now able to leverage this and include rugby in their classroom lesson plans!” said Ian Isham, Wasps Head of Community.
Grow a classroom full of champions with the Premiership Rugby Champions App. Available for download now on iOS and Android.

Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup 2021
The Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup returns this season with Wasps hosting two events across Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th June 2021 at Banbury RUFC and Old Leamingtonians RFC.
The under-11 and under-12 grassroots rugby festival is part of a series of nationwide events which provide aspiring young players the opportunity to play in a competitive event, albeit playing under a modified set of Ready 4 Rugby rules this year.
The festivals will follow RFU and government guidance at staggered times to ensure no mixing of teams takes place. They will be played to the Return to Rugby Roadmap and summer activity framework.
Wasps are hosting 2 events across the 19th and 20th June, with Banbury RUFC hosting on Saturday 19th June, and Old Leamingtonians RFC on Sunday 20th June.
The events are designed to provide young players with a chance to play competitive fixtures in a format that is appropriate for their ages and stage of development, all within the spirit of rugby’s core values of teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship.
Each day will follow a similar format, 2x mini-festivals of 4 teams in each age group. Timings for the day will be:
U11s – Morning
09:30-10:00 Team Warm Ups
10:00 – Fixture Round 1
10:35 – Fixture Round 2
11:10 – Fixture Round 3
11:45 – Presentations
12:00 – Depart
U12s – Afternoon
13:15-13:45 Team Warm Ups
13:45 – Fixture Round 1
14:20 – Fixture Round 2
14:55 – Fixture Round 3
15:25 – Presentations
15:40 – Depart
Teams will play in a round-robin format within their festival of 4 teams. There will be two mini festivals in each age group, each day. In total we will be welcoming 16 teams in each age group over the course of the weekend.
Previously we have been oversubscribed with teams wanting to take part in the festival and as such it is limited to only one team per age group per club. Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we will prioritise clubs that are local to the host venues in order to reduce travel as much as possible.
