Fans given late-night treat at Club Shop

Date: 11 Dec 2018

Wasps fans were given an early Christmas present at Ricoh Arena last Thursday as they rubbed shoulders with some of the first-team during a night-time shopping session.

Ashley Johnson, Tom Cruse, Rob Miller and Charlie Matthews were all on hand for an evening of shirt-signing and selfies as supporters visited the store to pick up their Wasps-themed stocking fillers.

The festive spirit was in full flow as supporters were treated to mulled wine and mince pies, and families enjoyed fun and games with Sting, Wasps’ Club Mascot.

Verity Brown, Community and Match Day Marketing Manager at Wasps, said: “It was fantastic to see the players mingling with supporters of all ages.

“It’s a great way for the players to give something back to those who turn out every other week to cheer them on.

“We have more festivities lined up in the Fan Village before our Christmas game against Bath Rugby on Sunday 23 December, which will feature a fun fair, reindeer, giant inflatable snow globe, carol singers, and house band Wired.”
