Exeter emergency services game

Date: 16 Jul 2018

Wasps are dedicating their first home game of the Gallagher Premiership season to the emergency services.

The home clash against Exeter Chiefs on Saturday, 8th September (kick-off 1pm) will see a special outdoor fan village playing host to displays from the police, fire and ambulance services.

Also making an appearance will be mental health awareness campaign, It Takes Balls to Talk (ITBTT), which is approaching its two-year anniversary after being launched at the Ricoh Arena in October 2016 to encourage men to discuss mental health.

To celebrate 70 years of the NHS, all emergency services and NHS personnel will be offered 20% off entry to the clash against Exeter Chiefs.

Wasps’ marketing manager Verity Brown said: “So many people attended the outdoor fan village at last year’s Emergency Services Day and we had some fantastic feedback, so we are bringing it back.

“Fans can expect the same positive atmosphere as last year’s event, and hopefully, as this is the second time we are hosting an Emergency Services Day, we can build on the fantastic turnout last time around, and really show our support for our amazing emergency services.

“Our first home game of the season always attracts a big crowd, providing a great platform to show our gratitude for the tireless efforts of the individuals who keep us safe.”

More details about Emergency Services Day will be released over the coming weeks.
