Defending champions Wasps face Saints in Premiership sevens finale

Date: 19 Jun 2018

Two-time Premiership Rugby 7s winners Wasps will face hosts and Midlands rivals Northampton Saints in the final round of qualification action on day one of this year’s competition.

This pivotal pool A clash will bring the curtain down on an action-packed Friday evening at Franklin’s Gardens from which clubs progress to the knock-out stages 24 hours later on Saturday July 28.
Wasps, who will previously have locked pool-stage horns with Gloucester, have reached the final of the competition in each of the last three seasons, lifting the trophy in 2017 and 2016.

The 2016 sevens winning Wasps line-up
Premiership new-boys Bristol Bears and Sale Sharks open the evening’s festivities at 5.30pm, and from there four-and-a-half hours of explosive rugby is in store.
Saturday’s matches start at 2.30pm when the top eight ranked teams contest the cup quarter-finals while the remaining four sides head to the Plate semi-finals.
Tickets are available now for the Premiership Rugby 7s on July 27 and 28, don’t delay as Early Bird prices end on June 30.
