Campagnaro to make Harlequins move

Date: 19 Mar 2019

Wasps can confirm that Michele Campagnaro will be leaving the Club in the summer and will join Harlequins ahead of the 2019/20 season.

The centre joined Wasps from Exeter Chiefs in December on a deal till the end of the season and has played seven times for the men in Black and Gold.

Campagnaro featured for Italy in the recent Six Nations but suffered a broken foot while on international duty and will be out of action for approximately 10-12 weeks.

Wasps Director of Rugby Dai Young said: “We always knew that Campo was likely to only be staying till the end of the season and he’s helped out while a number of key players have been missing.

“It’s a shame we haven’t been able to see a lot of him in action due to injuries and international commitments, and his recent injury setback is frustrating for both Campo and us.

“We’d like to thank him for his services over the past few months and wish him all the best for the future.”
