A Coventry University student has been on a sporting tour of the city after winning a bumper ticket prize.
Mark Booth, a first-year Business Management student at Coventry University, was chosen as the winner of The Big Ticket, giving him entrance to six high-profile sporting events in the city.
Coventry City Council teamed up with the city’s major sports clubs to offer the prize in celebration of Coventry’s status as European City of Sport.
Mark, who is originally from Hertfordshire, has been making the most of his ticket haul after visiting Ricoh Arena to watch Coventry City face Gillingham, and heading to the Sky Dome to catch Coventry Blaze’s clash against Guildford Flames.
He also headed to Ricoh Arena to see Wasps’ Premiership Rugby win over Worcester Warriors from the comfort of the Premier Club, before watching reigning Vitality Netball Superleague champions Wasps Netball defeat Team Bath later that day.
He said: “I entered the competition after hearing about it at the Coventry Christmas lights switch on and winning The Big Ticket was a great surprise because I thought a lot of people would have entered.
“The Wasps match itself was great, my sister loved being a mascot and we enjoyed seeing them get a win.
“Being in the Premier Club was excellent and the food was a particular highlight.
“I enjoy watching rugby, so it was a great experience to see Wasps in action at the Ricoh.
“It’s been a while since I’ve watched a live game, so it was exciting, particularly to see a match of that quality.”
Don't miss out on your chance of seeing the boys in Black and Gold at Ricoh Arena in their last two home games.
