About the Role

Wasps Sport are looking for a Social Content Creator to create and develop content that’ll engage our audiences and grow the Wasps brand. You understand how to use content to tell stories and bring our teams, players, purpose and brand to life.

As a Content Creator you will be responsible for capturing compelling, channel-specific stories and visuals. You will have a broad knowledge of videography, graphics and photography, as well as a strong understanding of editing and post-production.

We need a social native who’s a natural storyteller with the ability to write engaging copy. You’ll turn your ideas into brilliant social executions that deliver results, drive awareness, engage audiences, and encourage more people to follow Wasps.

Key responsibilities/required skills:

  • Responsible for the creation of high quality and engaging social media content that strongly resonates with a range of demographics

  • Create daily social content (inc. IG Stories, graphics, UGC spotlights) to publish across key social channels, from Facebook to LinkedIn

  • Write interesting social copy our audiences can’t help but read

  • Deliver content across sport, education and community sectors to challenge discrimination, encourage inclusive practices and campaign for positive change

  • Shoot, edit and create captivating video content and stories

  • Demonstrable skills in after-effects and motion graphics

  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Audition and InDesign, Premier Pro, or similar tools.

  • Experience of shooting still and moving pictures across a range of devices

  • Create social plans and calendars

  • Experiment with formats and channels like Reels, Facebook Live, dual IG Stories, TikTok, YouTube series

  • Partner with agencies to deliver social content

  • Use data and insight to inform content ideas and plans

  • Design assets and contribute to the development of a new style for social content

Additional:

  • Positive thinker, curious, adaptable and a problem solver
  • You’ve worked on creating and producing a range of content types for social campaigns and day-to-day content in the feed.

  • You have 3+ years of experience in a similar role

  • You’re able to plan content, as well as respond quickly to content opportunities

  • You know how to identify and apply insights to create more relevant customer content and experiences.

  • You can adopt the Wasps tone of voice and style

  • You’re up to date on content trends and best practices

Hours of work: 35 hours per week plus 1 hour unpaid lunch break

Term: Full Time / Permanent

Location: Coventry Building Society Arena
