About the role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work within the Wasps Commercial department. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Sales, the Commercial Sales Executive will be tasked with meeting & exceeding individual and team sales targets through actively selling the Club’s seasonal and match by match hospitality packages, player sponsorships and other commercial events.

Key tasks will include:

  • Manage all inbound enquiries and target repeat bookings for agreed hospitality products

  • Work alongside the commercial team on home matchdays to ensure the smooth delivery of the hospitality across the venue

  • Source & develop new clients by actively selling seasonal hospitality, match by match packages, player sponsorship and club events

  • Actively target businesses and individuals to sell the range of Wasps commercial products

  • To attain and exceed team and individual sales targets set by the Head of Commercial Sales

  • Have a proactive view to outbound calls and seeking new opportunities

  • Utilise CRM to ensure all new leads are logged and client details kept up to date to maximise sales opportunities and grow the database

  • Instigate and conduct face-to-face customer meetings generated from inbound and outbound sales calls

  • Assist in the activation of the commercial programmes to ensure effective rights utilisation

Essential

  • Can demonstrate a proven track record in sales and achievement of sales targets

  • Able to use initiate to generate leads and drive sales

  • Experience of prospecting and cold calling, with a clear passion for business development and customer service

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Has the ability to multi-task and thrive within a busy sales environment

  • Strong organisational, time management and administrative skills

  • Professional, courteous and friendly manner

  • A ‘can do’ attitude and a desire to always go above and beyond

Desirable

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Good problem solving and decision-making abilities

  • Commercially driven and financially astute

  • Experience in sales, telemarketing, appointment scheduling or cold-calling techniques.

Hours of work: 35 hours per week plus 1 hour unpaid lunch break

Term: Full Time / Permanent

Location: Coventry Building Society Arena
