Alex Rieder

Alex Rieder joined Wasps ahead of the 2015/16 campaign.

Rieder, who can play anywhere across the back-row, joined from Rotherham Titans. He enjoyed a productive 2014/15 season helping the Titans to the Championship playoffs, as well as gaining personal recognition, which included being named Rotherham’s Player of the Season, being nominated for the Championship Player of the Year and earning inclusion in the Championship Dream Team for 2014/15.

The 6’3” back rower has added further depth to a Wasps back row touted as one of the best in the league, including the likes of James Haskell, Ashley Johnson, Nathan Hughes, Sam Jones, Guy Thompson and Thomas Young.

Rieder enjoyed a standout 2016/17 campaign making 20 appearances for the club and scoring his first try against Exeter Chiefs in the 35-35 draw in February.
