Nathan Morris moves into the senior squad
The Club are very pleased with the exciting blend of players in the squad following an intensive rugby development programme led by Academy Skills Coach, Chris Lloyd.
Will Rowlands has already made his senior debut
Eleven players are set to be based at the Club’s Twyford Avenue training base, while a further six players will train part-time as they combine their rugby progress with their Academic pursuits.
Alec Hepburn will move into the senior squad
Nathan Morris (Hooker) and Alec Hepburn (Prop), part of the Academy last season have graduated to training with the Senior Squad. Both are currently involved in the ongoing Junior World Championships with England U20s. Another player who featured for England U20s this year, Gus Jones (Back Row), remains part of the Academy this season.
Jonah Holmes (Utility Back) (who will spend next season on loan at Leeds Carnegie), Will Bigley (Prop), Harry Williams (prop) and Liam O’Neill (Fullback) also continue in the Academy for this season as they continue to make fine progress.
New to the Senior Academy are a further band of high quality young players from the England U18 age groups.
This group includes Tom Howe (Wing), who has already made his senior debut for Wasps, Alex Lundberg (Prop), Beno Obano (Hooker) Oscar Hirsky Douglas (Back Row) and Louis Clayton Molloy (Fullback).
Progressing from the Henley College AASE programme along with Oskar Hirskyj Douglas are Alex Harrison (Centre) and Dan Barnes (Centre) who also had impressive seasons within the ASSE and Academy U18 League fixture schedules.
Progressing from the London Wasps Junior Academy are Adam Peters (Back Row) and George Saunders (Full Back). Both these players have already produced strong performances at A League and Academy League levels over the past year.
New to the club are Tom Baldwin (Back Row) from Bath Academy, Sam James (Hooker) from Saracens Academy and England U18s and Will Rowlands (Lock) from Oxford University.
A number of the London Wasps Academy players will be accessing match programmes with loan clubs at Championship and National League levels while many will also hope to feature at A level and in the senior team itself.
