The draw means that London Wasps will face both Viadana and Grenoble for the first time in the Club’s history, as well as facing a familiar foe in Bayonne, who Wasps have played in the last two years of the competition.

All Amlin Challenge Cup games at Adams Park are included in the new 2013/14 Season Ticket. For more information about the Season Ticket click here.

Viadana Rugby finished top of last season’s Italian top division, the National Championship of Excellence, but were beaten by Wasps’ opponents in last year’s Amlin Challenge Cup competition, Mogliano, over a two-legged Semi Final, who went on to be crowned champions.

Viadana Rugby play their rugby out of the Stadio Luigi Zaffanella, which has a capacity of 6,000. The stadium was previously the home of the now defunct Aironi. Viadana is in the Lombardy region of Italy, located 120km southeast of Milan.

Having been promoted into the Top 14 from Pro D2 in 2012, Grenoble have finished eleventh in their two consecutive years in the top flight. Grenoble finished second in Pool Five of last year’s Amlin Challenge Cup, beating Stade Francais at home, London Welsh away and Cavalieri Prato both home and away.

Aviron Bayonnais finished eighth in last season’s French Top 14. London Wasps have lined up against Bayonne in both of the last two years in this competition. With a win and a loss in 2011/12 and a draw and a win in 2012/13 the fixture is always hotly contested. Bayonne finished as runners up in Pool 3 of last year’s Amlin Challenge Cup, with a 13 all draw with London Wasps proving the decisive factor, which saw Wasps top the pool and progress to the knockout stages.

Aviron Bayonnais play their rugby out of the Stade Jean Dauger, which can hold 17000. Bayonne is in the south west of France in Basque Country and Gascony.
