Young excited by Leinster prospect

Dai Young gives his reaction to news that London Wasps have been drawn against reigning Heineken Cup champions Leinster in the Quarter-Finals of the Amlin Challenge Cup.

The game will take place at Adams Park on the weekend of April 5th – with timings to be confirmed later this week by ERC.

The winner of the game will also play their semi-final game at home against the winners of Gloucester and Biarritz on the weekend of April 26th.

London Wasps Director of Rugby Dai Young said he was hugely looking forward to the game.

“Well you could look at it and say it’s not much reward for topping our pool to then be given a draw against the Heineken Cup Champions, but on the flip side what a hugely exciting prospect it will be playing them at home.”

“I have no doubt all of our players and fans will be massively looking forward to it and it’s a game which if we can win it, would really put us on the map. They are obviously a hugely experienced and talented side which they have shown over the last few years in particular, but in knock-out rugby anything can happen and I know that our guys will be hugely up for this one at home in front of hopefully a big crowd."

"We are a squad who are developing and improving all the time and this will be a fantastic test for us.”
