Rees and Hart wear their Wasps caps at last season's end of year awards
Rees and Hart have been appointed the first Official London Wasps Ambassadors in a new programme initiated this season.
As part of their role, the two former Club captains will represent London Wasps at rugby, community, sponsor, charity and fans events.
London Wasps Chairman Mark Rigby said: “This is a fantastic initiative and will ensure that two of our most esteemed recent ex-players will retain a very strong and valuable link with the Club.
"Over the years we will add to our Ambassadors but we couldn’t ask for two better individuals to help us launch this programme. Both Tom and John have a strong relationship with the current team, management and staff and I am sure all of the London Wasps fans and partners who come into contact with them during the season will enjoy hearing their views on matters past and present.”
Tom Rees and John Hart both retired through injury from rugby last season having both played integral roles in the success of London Wasps over the past decade.
Rees joined Wasps in 2003 and was a key part of the 2007 Heineken Cup and 2008 Premiership winning side. He won 15 full senior England caps but injury played a cruel role in halting his career.
Hart made his full senior Wasps debut in November 2002 and in his time at the Club he played in two winning Premiership Finals as well as playing a key role in the squads which won two Heineken Cup titles.
Both players will be regular guests at Adams Park throughout the season and will retain a strong link with the London Wasps squad with regular visits to the Club's training ground.
