Platinum Members & London Double Header Tickets
The Club is aware that there is some confusion around tickets for the 2012/2013 London Double Header, for which Platinum Members have received an application.
London Wasps received an allocation of Premier seats for this game for distribution among its 2012/13 Platinum Members.
These tickets must be returned by the end of the June if they have not been allocated, where they would be redistributed by Premiership Rugby.
As we are unable to put Season Ticket Packages on sale until such time as new ownership is confirmed, we faced a situation where we risked having to return a large bulk of the best seats in June.
This was a situation we wanted to avoid as potentially it could have meant we would have been offering inferior seats for this game to Platinum Members when packages do eventually go on sale.
It was therefore decided to ensure that all Platinum Members from the past season, regardless of their status next season, would have access to the allocation now.
The Club appreciates that there has been confusion about the status of these tickets – which are not additional tickets for next season's Platinum Members - but a guaranteed Premier seat to everyone who was a Platinum Member this season and anyone who will be next season.
This decision was made simply to ensure that everyone who was a Platinum Member last season would be able to enjoy the opening game of the season in the best seat possible and we apologise for any communication which may have confused this situation.
The Club appreciates that there may be some supporters who decide not to renew next season who will receive a ticket for this game, however our assumption and hope at this point is that this will be a relatively small number.
