The new Friday evening summer tournament involves all 12 Premiership Rugby clubs and will be broadcast live and exclusively on ESPN.
The 12 teams have been divided into three groups for the tournament, with the winner and runner up from each regional event going through to the final on Friday 6th August 2010.
Wasps are in Group A with London rivals Harlequins, London Irish and Saracens at the Twickenham Stoop. There will be prize money for the winner of each regional event as well as for the overall winner of the final.
There will be six games in total, with Wasps playing three, and each match will consist of seven minute halves with a two minute break at half time. Games will start at 7.30pm and finish by 10pm and will include music and entertainment making each event an exciting summer evening out for families.
Wasps have a wealth of Sevens experience to draw from, with Will Matthews, Tom Varndell and Christian Wade plus new signing Richard Haughton – who won a silver medal for Sevens at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
