On Thursday 5th November Tom Rees visited the Stoke Mandeville Stadium in Aylesbury to support the final leg of the PACE Centre Children's Challenge. The PACE Centre is a charity in Aylesbury that provides an education for life through programmes which incorporates all daily living activities for children with Cerebral Palsy.

This year's Children's Challenge has supported children as young as 3, to master a key skill; such as taking their first independent steps or using their voice. The event on 5th November was the culmination of the children's efforts, where they got to demonstrate their skills in front of their families, and of course Tom Rees. Tom Rees was joined by Team GB Olympic cyclist Tony Gibbs, and Pace Patron (event compere) Dave Lee Travis; watching some of the children's achievements and presenting each child with a medal for their acheivements in the Children's Challenge.

Following his visit, Tom Rees told wasps.co.uk, "To see the challenges that all of these children face to achieve tasks that you and I would take for granted is inspirational. I've been frustrated with my injury, but I know that in 3 months time I will be able to return to the pitch - after watching these children, many of my frustrations have eased because I can see an outcome is in sight; these guys will have to work hard and I admire their application and dedication."
