London Wasps Land Rover Premiership Cup U11s Festival

We are delighted to offer clubs the opportunity to enter our U11s Land Rover Premiership Cup Festival on Sunday 4th April 2010 at Maidenhead RFC; Braywick Park, Braywick Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6 1BN (14.3 miles from Adams Park)
The Festival will see us joining forces with Land Rover and Premier Rugby Ltd to deliver the exciting competitions for junior teams in our Community. The Land Rover Premiership Cup is in it's second year and will be hosted by the 12 Guinness Premiership Clubs with the winners paraded at Twickenham at the exiting finale of the club season, Guinness Premiership Final's day in May 2010. This year due to overwhelming demand, we decided to split our U11s and U12s Festivals over two separate events to give all of our Community Partner Clubs the opportunity to compete for the prestgious title.
Community Rugby Manager Dave Larham told wasps.co.uk, "We received a tremendous level of interest in the Land Rover Premiership Cup last season; due to the high-profile sponsorship of Land Rover and associated benefits, and our Community Partner Clubs continuing to demonstrate their support for London Wasps. Both Festivals promise to be a flagship project for our Community Team and a great chance to put our partners on the pitch to compete against each other; many of whom wouldn't normally meet due to geographical constraints. We hope that the weather will be kind and the rugby is played in good spirit on both occasions."
Festival Format:
- 10 minute games with half-time change of ends
- Quarter-Finals; subject to the number of teams entering
- Semi-Finals
- Festival Final
- Presentations
- Move to Adams Park to watch London Wasps vs London Irish
- Festival Winners and Runners-Up form the 'Tunnel of Honour' at Adams Park
All participants will receive a certificate with age-group winners from each of the 12 regional Festivals being crowned Land Rover Premiership Cup Champions collecting a trophy and receiving an invite to take part in a "Celebration of Rugby" at the Guinness Premiership Final 2009-2010. Professional players from London Wasps will attend our U11s Festival to present trophies and sign autographs. All teams will receive 20 'Touchline' match tickets (18 players + 2 adults) for the London Wasps game at Adams Park in the afternoon; with the Festival Champions and Runners-Up being invited to form the 'Tunnel of Honour' to welcome the players on to the pitch.
Cost: £150 per team (includes 18 concession & 2 adult match tickets). Additional match tickets will be available at our Community Discount rate of £10 per adult and £5 per concession; tickets will be allocated on a first-come basis. Please note that pre-booked Mini-Bus and Coach parking at Adams Park will be FREE; subject to availability. Festival Parking will be available at the Stafferton Way Car Park.
Age Group: The U11s Land Rover Premiership Cup is open to U11s teams only; although the continuum allows for combined age groups where there are small numbers, only genuine U11s will be allowed into this competition. However consideration will be given to official RFU dispensation, where held
Teams and squad sizes:
- U11s 16-team Festival: The game will be played between teams of 12 players, five of whom will be forwards and form the scrum, with the remaining players forming the backs. Squads will consist of 18 players
