Wasps U18s to take on Bath after first Premiership home game

Wasps U18s will take on their Bath counterparts in their opening U18 League match, after the senior squad’s first Aviva Premiership home game of the new season, against Bath at the Ricoh Arena on the 24th October.

The Academy game will kick off 20 minutes after the conclusion of the senior fixture, showcasing some future Wasps’ stars in action.

Academy Performance Manager Ian Taplin said: “This is a great opportunity for our players to see what it is like to play in a big stadium such as the Ricoh Arena. It is going to pose them with a number of different challenges to overcome, such as crowd noise and occasion, which are essential parts of their learning and progression.”

The U18 League game adds to an already packed day of entertainment. This includes; a pre-match performance from local band Speak Brother in the Jaguar Hall Fan Village, alongside an inflatable assault course and climbing wall to entertain the kids, the main event of the Aviva Premiership match against Bath and a big screen showing the Rugby World Cup Semi-Final between South Africa and New Zealand.

On top of this, as a small thank you for your support, the first drink after the game is on us in the Jaguar Hall!* See below for T&Cs
