Wasps’ Academy players to attend England U18s and U20s training camps
Four Wasps Academy players have been invited to attend the latest England Under 20 training camp, while a further five will head to the upcoming England Under 18 camp.
Senior Academy squad members Tom West, Will Stuart, Conor Dolan and Owain James have all been invited to attend the England Under 20 camp, with the possibility of making the Under 20 Six Nations squad in February and the World Rugby Under 20 Championship in England at the end of the season.
Wasps Junior Academy members Caleb Shepherd, Tom Willis, Toni Kuku, Joe Tunney and George Probyn have been asked to attend the England Under 18 training camp. Those that impress at the camp will get the opportunity to represent the England Under 18s in a number of international fixtures over the 2015/16 season.
Loosehead prop Tom West joined Wasps’ Senior Academy last season and has already been capped at Under 20s level, after he won his first cap against Italy last season. It is also fellow front row forward Will Stuart’s second year in the Senior Academy after joining like West from Radley College.
Centre Conor Dolan and utility back Owain James were both in last year’s England Under 18s squad and will now look to continue their development having left Wellington College and Harrow School respectively to join Wasps’ Senior Academy this season.
England Under 18 training camp attendees Caleb Shepherd and Tom Willis are currently studying at Wasps’ AASE partner school The Henley College, Toni Kuku attends Stowe School, Joe Tunney goes to Dr Challoner’s Grammar School and George Probyn studies at The Oratory School.
The England Under 20 camp will take place from the 28th-30th September, while the Under 18 camp will take place this week. Good luck to all those involved.
