Wasps pass 22,700 tickets for first Ricoh game as record approaches
With 11 days still to go before Wasps first game at the Ricoh Arena the Club has today announced that it has passed the 22,700 ticket mark.
The highest attendance for an Aviva Premiership Rugby home ground fixture so far this season is 22,639 set by Leicester Tigers at Welford Road. The all-time record home ground attendance for an Aviva Premiership Rugby fixture is 24,000 also set by Leicester Tigers. Wasps first game at their new home will be against London Irish on Sunday 21st December.
Ticket availability in the West, East and South stands is limited, but tickets are still available in categories 3 and 4 in the stadium. Demand for hospitality has also been high with The Premier Club offering sold out and just a few places left in the Ricoh’s 1867 Lounge. However there are a number of hospitality packages still available in various lounges in the stadium.
Tickets for Wasps first match are available from just £15. Entrance for under ten year olds is free if accompanied by a paying adult.
Wasps Captain, James Haskell, commented:
“Professional rugby players want to play in front of big crowds, so it’s massively exciting to see that the game has sold so many tickets. The match is just around the corner now and the squad are buzzing about the prospect of playing in front of a packed Ricoh. It should be some atmosphere in 11 days time.”
