Wasps squad for Welsh Friendly

Wasps’ Director of Rugby Dai Young has announced his squad for the Club’s first pre-season friendly, against London Welsh at Adams Park on Sunday 17 August, kick off 2.30pm.

The friendlies against London Welsh and Connacht Rugby on back-to-back weekends will be used to give players game time and try out different combinations, as Young explains:

“The key focus is to blend our new recruits with the existing squad, so that is an exciting challenge. We will use these pre-season friendlies to give fit players an opportunity to put up their hands and try to force their way into the team.

“It’s a good chance to get new signings into a Wasps jersey so they feel a part of everything. It’s also important to give players game time and look at different combinations while putting into practise some of the things we tried in pre-season.

“Our main goal will be to arrive at the London Double Header full of confidence and feeling that we are ready to hit the road running.”

Wasps are offering a special combination package for the two friendlies. An adult ticket bundle allows fans to watch both games for only £15.
