Wasps name squad for Premiership Rugby 7s

Wasps’ Academy Manager Matt Davies has named the squad that will be representing the Club in the Premiership Rugby 7s at Franklins Garden on Friday evening.

Wasps, who will compete in Pool C against Northampton Saints, Harlequins and Saracens, have selected a team with a blend of experienced Academy players and new recruits. Winger Tom Howe, who scored on his Aviva Premiership debut against Saracens last season, is included alongside Junior World Championship winner Gus Jones, fresh from his successful summer campaign with England U20s. Oskar Hirskyj-Douglas and George Eastwell, who both featured in the JP Morgan 7s last season are also included. 

Ollie Evans who has recently joined from Bath University will skipper the side, while former USA U20s captain Tom Bliss will also represent Wasps for the first time after three years playing for Loughborough University. 

A number of other newcomers to the Academy have also been handed their chance to shine including, Ollie Lyons, Tom Chapman, Harry Sheppard, Harry Glover, Piers O'Conor and Charlie Dockery.
