Wasps top viewing figures

Wasps topped the Aviva Premiership’s viewing figures, with 276,000 people tuning into the fixture against Leicester Tigers at Adams Park in October.

Wasps’ fixture against Leicester Tigers at Adams Park in October 2013 had the highest viewing figures of the 2013/14 season, beating both Semi Final’s and the Aviva Premiership Final in terms of viewers. 276,000 people tuned in to watch the game on BT Sport, over 100,000 more than the Final between Saracens and Northampton Saints.

Wasps Chief Executive Nick Eastwood said, “It is great to see Wasps topping the chart for viewing figures last season. After some tough seasons, we have done a lot of work to stabilise the Club and, with things looking much brighter on and off the field, it is very encouraging to see that the appetite to watch London Wasps is still strong.”

“With our qualification for next season’s European Rugby Champions Cup we are all looking forward to increased viewing figures across our season and the exposure that will bring with it for the Wasps brand and our partners.”
