On Wednesday 12th March, Wasps winger Tom Varndell visited Maidenhead RFC to meet some future rugby sevens stars.
It was the ISA (Independent Schools Association) National Under 16s Rugby Sevens Tournament that brought over 250 sevens players together. Teams travelled from as far as Exeter, York and Llanelli for the tournament, which was hosted by Claires Court School in Maidenhead.
As well as Tom meeting the teams and helping with the presentations, four members of the Wasps Community Team were on hand to referee a total of 24 of the games during the day, and the High Wycombe based club also provided all of the event match balls.
