London Wasps are delighted to announce details of The Stinger Tag Rugby Cup, which is being held before The Stinger, at Twickenham Stadium on 19th April 2014.
The Stinger Tag Rugby Cup consists of an Under 7s and an Under 8s Tag Rugby Tournament, with the finals being held on the pitch during half time of London Wasps' Aviva Premiership match against Gloucester Rugby in The Stinger. There is space for 32 teams in each tournament. The teams will be randomly drawn into 8 pools of 4. After a round robin stage where the teams in each pool will play each other, the knock-out tournament will be seeded as follows;
Using this format, each team is guaranteed a minimum of 4 games. Teams that get into the final will get a trophy recognising their participation in the final, as opposed to who won or lost at Twickenham Stadium. Each player will also receive a certificate that commemorates their playing on the hallowed Twickenham turf.
For just £108, an Under 7s team will receive;

London Wasps are keen to emphasise that the Stinger Tag Rugby Cup is a participation festival, and we invite teams to enter as many squads as they wish into the event.
If there is excess demand for the Stinger Tag Rugby Cup, we will run a reserve list. For every 8 teams that are on the reserve list, we will extend the size of the festival. The Stinger Tag Rugby Cup will be played in line with the RFU’s New Rules of Play, details of which can be found here.
