London Wasps deliver at Dair House Independent School

During the last couple of weeks, London Wasps Schools Programme Officer Ben Smiley has been delivering some Tag Rugby coaching for Year 5 and 6 students at Dair House Independent School in Farnham Royal.

The two sessions that Ben delivered, as a part of the London Wasps Independent Schools Programme, were organised with two main objectives in mind.

  1. Develop game understanding for all of the Year 5 and 6 students ahead of the inter-school competition
  2. Develop tactical knowledge for the school Year 5 and 6 squad

With the school team, Ben paid particular attention to defence and the skills required to organise a defence effectively and quickly.

After the coaching at Dair House Independent School, London Wasps Schools Programme Officer Ben Smiley told wasps.co.uk: "The children were very receptive to the ideas that I was trying to pass onto them, some of which were new to the players. I'd like to wish everyone who I coached during the sessions the best of luck for their future school fixtures, and their inter-school competition in December."
