The Wasps Mobros team is skippered by David Kurk, the well-known Wasps match-day host, who was recently treated for Prostate Cancer and who is recovering well.
Kurk leads a team that has already signed up a number of Wasps fans and who have already generated over £3,000.
James Haskell said: “We want as many people as possible to sign up to our team so any fans out there who are considering the challenge get yourselves signed up and help us raise funds for a great cause.”
David Kurk added: “In June this year my world fell apart when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Having suffered no symptoms, it was a massive shock to receive the diagnosis, but I am so glad now that I made that decision to get checked out. I was operated on by a brilliant surgeon called John Kelleher who happens to be a Wasps season ticket holder and now with the help of the Wasps players and supporters I am hoping we can raise lots of money for a fantastic cause and even more importantly raise as much awareness as possible about the importance of regular check-ups. It may well have saved my life.”
