On Saturday 12th October, London Wasps were pleased to support the Davenies School and St Bernards Preparatory School rugby tournaments, as a part of the Independent Schools Programme.
London Wasps Community Rugby Coach Ian Isham was joined by Community Coaches Max Le Count-Ward, Mike Head and Sam Verralls at the Davenies School (Beaconsfield) Under 9s Tournament. 16 teams from 11 schools, including The Beacon School (Chesham Bois), Claires Court School (Maidenhead), Moulsford Preparatory School (Wallingford), St John's School (Northwood) and Winchester House School (Brackley) attended the Davenies School Tournament.

Ben Smiley, London Wasps Schools Programme Officer and Community Coach Frazer Hunt attended St Bernard's Preparatory School Under 11s, Seven aside tournament. St Bernard's, a Preparatory School in Slough, hosted 3 schools and ran a 5-team tournament where each team played each other to determine the winner. As well as two teams from St Bernard's, Garhurst School and Thorpe House School (both Gerrards Cross) and Widford Lodge (Chelmsford) joined in at the tournament.
After their support of the St Bernard's Preparatory School Tournament, PE & Sport Co-ordinator Dirk Barendse emailed to say; "Both Ben and Frazer were very good ambassadors for the club. The games were very well officiated with all respective coaches very happy in how they managed the games and related to the players. We look forward to working with London Wasps in the near future."
Following the Davenies School event, Tournament Organiser Jonny Hutchings told wasps.co.uk; "The ref's looked the business and very professional in the same kit. All of the games were well reffed, and the London Wasps referee's built excellent rapport with the players."
