“It was vital to get that first victory. Today I felt we were in control all game. It took a frustrating amount of time to put distance between the teams but when we did we built on it well. I thought our forwards today were excellent. I thought Joe Launchbury was absolutely outstanding today. He got through an incredible amount of work and was very dominant in the match."
"Sam Jones was excellent as well today and Ashley was a deserved man of the match. Our forwards set a real foundation, especially at the scrum so they deserve credit.”
Although Wasps scored four tries, Young is looking for more from his attack.
“Our attack is still not as fluid as we would like, but hopefully on the back of a bonus point win we will get a little slicker in that department.”
Young also praised the effort of props Matt Mullan and Jake Cooper Wooley, who both scored tries.
“Up front the scrum was a big factor today and those two went well. They have worked very hard and they have really come on. We have had to work hard on the perceptions of our pack not being dominant and that is starting to show. Next weekend is going to be another step up again.”
