New Partner for the London Wasps Independent Schools Programme

Read more about an exciting new partnership between London Wasps and the Independent Schools Association

London Wasps are delighted to announce a new partnership with the Independent Schools Association (ISA). Working with the ISA's National Sports Assistant Fran Hide, London Wasps' Schools Programme Officer Ben Smiley will link up with ISA member schools that fall within London Wasps' community to support their rugby development.

The partnership will see London Wasps support ISA National and Area rugby tournaments, in particular the ISA London North and West regions. London Wasps will provide equipment, referee's, venues and professional players with the aim of motivating and inspiring more ISA children to engage in school rugby and the London Wasps Community Programme. In return for this partnership, London Wasps will be able to develop links with more independent schools, through their membership of the ISA.

Of the partnership, the Independent Schools Association National Sports Assistant, Fran Hide, told wasps.co.uk; "The Independent Schools Association is extremely pleased to enter into this new partnership with London Wasps which will support our National and Area Rugby tournaments. Through our partnership with London Wasps, we hope that more ISA children will engage in school rugby and the London Wasps Community Rugby Programme. We also hope that the provision of rugby in ISA schools will continue to improve, through teacher's participation in London Wasps' Coach the Coaches programme"

London Wasps' Schools Programme Officer, Ben Smiley, told wasps.co.uk; "We are delighted to be able to work with the Independent Schools Association in this way. The partership will enable us to support Independent School Rugby, directly through our Independent Schools Programme, and indirectly through our support of ISA National and Regional tournaments. For us to be able to engage with over 300 schools, through their ISA membership, is invaluable to us, and we hope to welcome as many of these schools on a London Wasps Community Programme as possible."

The Independent Schools Association provides professional support to its 300 member Headteachers. Staff of member schools benefit from high quality training opportunities and access to a wide range of membership services, while pupils enjoy an extensive programme of local and national Sporting, Arts and Cultural events.
