Your guide to: London Wasps v London Irish

Everything you need to know if you are attending London Wasps v London Irish this Saturday 24 August at Adams Park, KO 15:00.

London Wasps host London Irish at Adams Park on Saturday 24 August in their final game of the preseason schedule.

With an array of Stingers’ Day activities before the game in the marquee and the car park, as well as a Q&A and a signing session after the game, it is set to be a great day out.

Having already faced both ASM Clermont Auvergne and Connacht in previous weeks, the fixture will be London Wasps’ last preseason fixture before the opening day of the season, which will see them take on Harlequins at Twickenham in the London Double Header on 7 September.

Access for Season Ticket Holders

All season ticket holders have been sent their free ticket to this game by post as we have slightly delayed the delivery of the new season ticket cards.

Rest assured, your cards will be with you in plenty of time for the first home game of the season at Adams Park and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you have not received your ticket by Friday, August 23rd please call Mia Lamming on 0208 993 8298 and we will arrange collection on the day.

Please note that only the Main Stand and the Lower Tier of the Frank Adams Stand are open for this game – so there is unreserved seating for this match.

There are still tickets available for the game through the London Wasps Ticket Office.

The ticket office at the stadium opens at 10am.

Opening Times

  • The Stadium Gates, Entertainment Village, Hospitality, Marquee, Vere Suite and Club Shop all open at 12:00
  • The bars will be open from 12:00
  • The Stadium Bowl Opens at 12:30

As always we're encouraging all supporters to get in their seats early for the game and cheer on the team throughout the warm-up!

Stingers’ Day

The game against London Irish is also a Stingers’ Day and there will be an array of activities taking place in the car park and the marquee.

In the Marquee there will be free face painting, a DJ and a London Wasps Community Car Boot Sale selling a range of London Wasps products including mugs, DVDs, hats and scarves to raise money for the Community Foundation. There will also be an information desk to provide information about the new London Wasps Supporters Club.The Marquee is not serving alcohol this weekend. That will be available for purchase in Scores and the Vere.

In the Car Park there will be a number of Aviva inflatables including a target run and a bungee run, as well as a London Wasps Community skills zone.

Junior Season Ticket Holder Stadium Tours

As part of Singers' Day we are conducting a number of stadium tours for our Junior Season Ticket Holders. Emails were sent out to all of our Junior Members last week with all of the details of how to sign up! If you haven't received an email just drop us a line letting us know if you are interested on info@wasps.co.uk These take place from midday.

Matchday Programme

There will be a free 8-page programme for this fixture including a pullout collage poster to get signed after the game.

Q & As

There will be a post-match Q&As in the Vere Suite following the game.

Signing session

There will be a signing session after the game in the Dreams Stand with the whole London Wasps squad. The free matchday programme features a pullout poster so that all supporters can take part in the post-match signing session.


Car-parking & Directions

Supporters are recommended to use our FREE Park & Ride and Train & Ride services to reduce congestion around the stadium.

The Park and Ride services will begin at midday from the High Wycombe train station and the Cressex Park and Ride facility, near Junction 4 of the M40. The buses run on a circuit with the final buses before the game leaving Cressex at around 14:40 and the Train Station around 14:30. They start again from the stadium after the match and run until 7pm.

There are car parks available right along Hillbottom Road. Car-parking costs from £5. The car parks will close two hours after the game ends, the same time as the last bus leaves for the Park and Ride service.

London Wasps will also reward any car arriving two hours prior to kick off, travelling with four people in the vehicle, FREE car parking for the game. This FREE parking offer has been extended to motorcyclists with a passenger who arrive two hours prior to kick off.

After the time of two hours before the game, then the full cost will apply.

To take advantage of this on the day simply arrive at the check point or entrance to the Artisan Car Park BEFORE the deadline with a car of four.

Directions from London
Join M25 and head for J16 M25/M40. Join M40 and head to J4/A404 High Wycombe. Leave the M40 at Junction 4 and take the A4010 exit (John Hall Way, signposted Aylesbury). FREE Park and Ride is signposted on your left 200 yards from the roundabout. To get to Adams Park please follow the BROWN tourist information road signs showing a soccer ball.
