Schools within our community are now breaking up for their summer holidays and our our Community Team can look back on the delivery of the largest Community Schools Coaching Programme in our history.

This year we have delivered more sessions to more schools than in any of the previous years that London Wasps have operated a Community Schools Programme. In total, 691 coaching sessions were delivered to Years One to Six in 98 schools within the communities of Buckinghamshire, East Berkshire, Middlesex and Oxfordshire. In addition, we have also delivered 34 assemblies for primary schools and tackled themes such as:

| Achievement and Raising Self-Esteem | Active Lifestyles | Healthy Lifestyles | Hydration & Nutrition | Introduction to London Wasps | Tag Rugby Clubs |

Our community coaches have also delivered 29 bespoke, one-off sessions in primary and secondary schools that have included:
| Dr Challoner's Grammar School Activity Week Coaching | Hampshire Collegiate School Year 10 Scholarship Day | Introduction to Tag Rugby Teacher Workshops | Walk to School with Sting |

The majority of our Schools Programme delivery has been supported by centrally funded programmes through Premiership Rugby such as:
| Aviva Premiership Rugby Schools Programme | Here Come the Girls | MBNA Tackling Numbers |

Through the provision of funding from Aviva and MBNA, we also provided Teacher Education opportunities for primary school teachers throughout the year; where over 100 teachers have benefitted from informal Tag Rugby coach development from London Wasps' RFU Coach Developers. We were also delighted to distribute 280 rugby balls and 70 tag sets to the participating schools to provide sustainable rugby activity beyond the funded programmes.
