London Wasps support the Wycombe Community Festival 2013

Read about our visit to the Rye Park in High Wycombe

On Saturday 13th July we visited the Rye Park in High Wycombe town centre to support the annual Wycombe Community Festival; organised by the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines 2nd Generation community (SV2G).

Our Community Team provided a CoacHclass Activity Zone to promote healthy activity, rugby skills and fun in the sun for children aged from 4 to 16 years. The Zone gave each child and opportunity to race each other in an obstacle course that involved jumping over tackle shields and then dodging around defenders before making a scoring pass.

Our character mascot Sting mingled with the crowd to say "hello" to everyone enjoying the day in the sunshine, while our Guinness Premiership Trophy and Heineken Cup were displayed for family photographs.

Sting loves getting out in to our community and saying "hello" to everyone. If you would like Sting to support your event, please complete an enquiry form here.
