Sunday 21st April saw our last Match Day Tag Rugby Challenge of the season when we hosted Exeter Chiefs in the Aviva Premiership. Tag Rugby players from Community Partner Clubs High Wycombe RUFC, Marlow RUFC and Windsor RFC took part in the half-time Tag Rugby showcase.

What is Tag Rugby?
Tag Rugby is a game played by teams of up to seven players. Each player wears a belt that has two velcro tags attached to it. The defenders have to pull one of the velcro tags from the ball-carrying attacking player, to force the player to pass the ball. The game is fast and exciting and develops the players’ agility, balance & coordination while focusing on the FUNdamental core skills of non-contact rugby.

Following the Tag Challenge, Community Rugby Coach Ben Smiley told wasps.co.uk: "The pitch was very busy at half-time on Sunday with over 60 young rugby players showcasing their skills to the 7,000+ spectators at Adams Park Stadium. This season has seen major changes for Tag Rugby through the RFU's Shaping The Game Strategy, with all of the players and teams demonstrating that they have adapted very well to the new team sizes and rule interpretations. We look forward to seeing the players and teams develop next season."
