Launchbury in England training this week
Launchbury is joined in the squad by Tom Palmer, while James Haskell has been released for this weekend's game.
Launchbury's rise to England reckoning comes following the huge impact he has made at London Wasps since joining the Club from Worthing, on the advice of ex-player Will Green in 2009.
Joe was also part of Stuart Lancaster's England senior squad for the summer tour earlier this year to South Africa. He made his debut in an uncapped game for England against the Barbarians at Twickenham but was forced to return home from South Africa before even the first training session after a knee injury ended his summer.
The 21-year old has made 33 senior appearances in total for his Club and has featured at both lock and blindside flanker for Wasps this season.
Palmer meanwhile is in line to win his 40th cap having recovered from a calf strain to make this weekend's squad.
England Head Coach Stuart Lancaster said: "We have had a good two days back at Pennyhill Park and the players have been very focused on delivering against Fiji.
“Saturday is a great opportunity for us to put a marker down and deliver a quality performance. It’s great to have young players such as Mako Vunipola and Joe Launchbury get their opportunities in the match-day 23 and we are excited about the potential of the squad."
The following players will return to Pennyhill Park tomorrow evening (Wednesday) to prepare for Saturday’s QBE International against Fiji at Twickenham Stadium (2.30pm, live on SkySports HD).
