Young praised the impact of his two wingers, Christian Wade and Tom Varndell, who grabbed two tries each in the game.
“I felt those two were the major difference between the two teams. Wade was outstanding in every aspect and Varndell took his tries really well and those two made the difference out wide.”
“London Welsh put us under a lot of pressure and we put ourselves under a lot of pressure and we’ve come away with maximum points so we’ve got to be pleased with that. We know that there are still lots of things to work on and there were lots of things that I wasn’t pleased with tonight, but when you’ve got two real threats like that out wide, you give them an opportunity, you give them the space, and they are going to punish any team so they will be very pleased with their night's work."
Young added that he believed his side had to improve ahead of the Saracens clash next weekend, despite the obvious boost the four wins in a row has given his charges.
"I am actualy quite grumpy because we didn't play as well as I wanted us to. I thought up front we struggled; certainly the second half which wasn’t good enough. We gave away a try from their driving lineout, we have got to give them credit for that, but we have still got to be better. I thought the scrum at the end wasn’t good enough as well and we need to improve."
"We face a big test away at Saracens next weekend but we can be positive this week after getting a bit of momentum from the four wins in a row."
